Basketball continued despite the cancellation of the Dick Hotch tournament

The Dick Hotch Memorial Basketball Tournament was cancelled last weekend, but that didn't stop players from taking to the court. Basketball players from across the state and the Lower 48 made it to Haines despite foul weather. Two Haines teams along with a Whitehorse team played Sunday scrimmage games. The Haines maroon team went 2-0, the Haines green team went 0-2 and the Whitehorse team went 2-1. Traveling men also joined teams during Haines Men’s Basketball City League Sunday.
