Firefighters squelched a wind-driven brush fire that was reported about noon Tuesday. The fire apparently had spread from a campfire pit near 1.5 Mile Mud Bay Road. About an acre of grasses and shrubs burned. Above, fire company captain Tim Walter looks at the fire origin while Mike Borcik, standing behind Walter, douses a hotspot.
