Members of the Haines Women's A Capella Choir perform at Saturday's Lighting of the Library event. More than 200 residents turned out for the event which included an auction of miniature Christmas trees and music by a brass ensemble of Mark and Matt Davis and John Hunt. Bill Broste's "Stocking Tree" garnered the highest bid. This year's library tree, a 16-foot Stone pine, was donated by Annie Boyce and Paul Swift. The tree overgrew its spot, they said.
