Outgoing Haines Public Library director Carolyn Goolsby celebrated and said goodbye to the library board, Haines Friends of the Library members and residents on Friday in the library. Cake and refreshments were served. The borough assembly approved the promotion of long-time assistant director Rebecca Heaton to serve as the new library director.
