OPENING DAY CELEBRATION: Little League kicked off June 16 evening under sunny skies and a light breeze with a record number of participants with 115 kids signed up. The league delayed its opening day kickoff as it waited for printed jerseys to get shipped in. Jordan Baumgartner threw the first ceremonial pitch of the night to recognize the volunteer contributions he's made to the community of Haines. .
