On Aug. 7, Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) participants enjoyed a super fun raft trip down the Tsirku amd Chilkat rivers. The generosity of Chilkat Guides, LLC and Juneau’s Douglas-Dornan Foundation made this annual activity possible. The river was high and tricky but our guides Karl Nielsen, Nelbert Niemi, and Trygve Madsen were perfect. Thanks so much.
It feels great to again be directing the Haines BBBS program. I ask that all who have an interest in volunteering, enrolling a youth, or just learning more, contact us at 766-2151. Our office in the Gateway Building is just down the hall from the DMV.
