A Second Avenue bar owner reported a bench and two planters had been stolen outside their business during the night.
A caller reported a person trespassing on their property at a Main Street grocery store and if it happens again they’ll press charges.
A trooper requested police assistance with a bear at Young Road and Oslund Drive.
An investigation was started after a caller reported multiple harassing phone calls from the same number.
A caller reported a bear trying to get into their trash on lower Young Road.
Sunday, Aug. 29
A caller reported mud puddles in a business parking lot at Third Avenue and Haines Highway were bubbling. The bubbles were caused by an aerating device intended to clean soil of contaminants.
An officer responded to a request for assistance from a customs officer who was meeting with a questionable person.
A caller reported a bear walking up Fourth Avenue at Union Street.
Saturday, Aug. 28
A downtown tavern reported a possible counterfeit bill. The bill was taken to the bank for inspection.
A caller reported several vehicles pulling trailers around town with no trailer lights. An officer responded but found no trailers missing lights.
A caller requested information about firearm laws in the townsite, as a local youth was shooting a BB-gun.
A caller reported several gunshots in the landfill area on FAA Road. An officer found nothing amiss.
A caller reported a reckless driver at Front and Main streets.
Friday, Aug. 27
A caller reported a vehicle was parked in one-hour parking on Main Street all morning.
A caller on Small Tracts Road near the storage-rental business reported that at 3 p.m. Aug. 26 they had twice shot a bear that was eating their chickens. Troopers were unable to locate the bear.
Thursday, Aug. 26
A caller reported speeding drivers on Mud Bay Road.
A caller reported a vehicle accident in a Main Street grocery store parking lot.
A caller reported an unsafe driver downtown. A responding officer said the report was unfounded.
A caller reported a person outside their apartment at Dusty Trails.
A caller reported a black bear was on their back porch on Matrix Drive, but has left now.
A caller reported a black bear ran through their Tower Road yard.
A caller reported a brown bear with a cub getting into their garbage on West Fair Drive.
A Tower Road caller reported a bear broke into their shed and was getting into their garbage. An officer shot the bear with a rubber slug and it ran off.
Tuesday, Aug. 24
State road crews were advised of a mudslide at 19 Mile Haines Highway.
There were 17 medical calls and six about dogs.
