A Fourth Avenue caller was concerned about intruders after the front door of their residence opened and closed. Police found nothing out of the ordinary and said wind likely blew open the door.
A caller asked about living arrangements following a verbal domestic dispute near Sixth Street. Police intervention was not needed.
Sunday, Jan. 15
A downtown business owner reported two eggs had been thrown at a window of their business.
Saturday, Jan. 14
A caller reported a sheet of ice on Front Street. Police found overflow from a ditch on was causing the problem and advised public works officials.
A caller reported a vehicle stuck on Second and Main was obstructing traffic. Police responded and the vehicle had been moved.
Friday, Jan. 13
A snow-plow operator reported striking a junk vehicle that had been abandoned on Deishu Drive.
A vehicle was reported in the middle of the road at 0.5 Mile Haines Highway. An officer helped the owner push the vehicle out of the flow of traffic.
A caller reported four vehicles blocking traffic on Chilkat Trail Road. Police said the vehicles were parked as far off the roadway as possible and were not an obstruction.
A caller reported fuel oil had been siphoned from a tank in the FAA Road area, but police determined the tank had been damaged by snow falling off the roof and the fuel oil had leaked out.
Thursday, Jan. 12
A caller reported a loose horse on Small Tracts Road due to a broken fence, and the owner secured the horse.
A vehicle was parked illegally on Main Street, and the owner was contacted to move their vehicle.
A caller requested extra patrols near their 3 Mile Haines Highway residence because they thought people were running around in the woods.
Wednesday, Jan. 11
A caller reported their vehicle was damaged during the night while parked at their Union Street residence. Police said another vehicle likely ran into it after sliding on ice.
An out-of-state caller requested a welfare check on a family member, and police found the person was fine.
Tuesday, Jan. 10
A caller reported a horse near a business on Main Street, and the owner went to secure the horse.
DOT requested a vehicle be moved that was impeding Beach Road snow removal.
A caller reported his parked vehicle was hit, causing substantial damage near a downtown apartment complex. Both involved parties later exchanged information.
A 911 call was found to be a child playing with a phone in the Mosquito Lake Road area.
There were 14 medical calls and one call about dogs.
