DOT's Main Street pave job skips sidewalks

Candi Bradford sits on a section of replaced sidewalk by her Main Street furniture store, adjacent to a section the state Department of Transportation won't be replacing. Other skipped sections include footlong sections of missing curbs in front of Howsers Supermarket. Local leaders and merchants were stunned this week to learn that only sections of aging curbs and sidewalks were to be replaced. See story, in news section of this website.
