Winding up at Little League Championship

Ketchikan's Dakota Stacy pitches against Ketchikan in the final game of the Southeast Alaska Little League championship Sunday, July 22, in Haines. Juneau’s undefeated All-Stars handily won, capping the 11-game tournament held at Fair Field. The Haines All-Stars beat Prince of Wales but dropped games to Juneau, Sitka and Ketchikan. Winning manager Spencer Storie of Juneau said Haines did a great job hosting the games and his team enjoyed the weather here. His squad was headed to Anchorage to play in a game for the state championship. Tournament events included a home-run derby. Players also pitched to drop each other into the fair’s dunk tank.
