Jujutsu Master Wows Haines Students

Julio Toribio, founder of Seibukan jujutsu, throws an attacker during a demonstration for students at the local dojo during Toribio’s recent visit to the school. The school, held at the Chilkat Center, also practices Enshin Itto Ryu Battojutsu, a Japanese sword art. Adults meet for classes Mondays and Fridays at 5:30 p.m., with sword art Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. The school offers classes for youths ages 5 to 13 on weekday afternoons.
