Dave Pahl, founder of the Hammer Museum, takes a break from restoring the antique steam drill near Portage Cove recently. Pahl is leading the $18,800 project and is hoping the borough will agree to add finishing touches including drill bits, a derrick that was fitted atop the machine and a steering wheel.
