The Valley of the Eagles Golf Links will host a free, one-day instructional camp for youths of all ages from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 20.

Golf pros Tyler Barrack and Andrew Rex will give lessons, which include: golf etiquette, how to grip the club and how to address the ball. “Kids will also get to play a couple holes as well,” said coordinator Tomi Scovill.

Lunch will be provided and parents are welcome to tag along with their children during lessons. This event is being sponsored by local businesses.

“It’s a great course and a cool event,” said Scovill. “We’re hoping this event will attract kids to the course and get them outside to play.” Call Scovill at 766-2940 to sign up for lessons or help sponsor the event.
