Thanks for sharing gardens' bounty
On behalf of the residents of Haines Assisted Living (HAL), we would like to take this opportunity to thank our caring community for the sharing of the great bounty produced in Haines this summer. We are ever so grateful for the strawberries from John Floreske; the flowers shared every week by Donna Walters; the flowers and landscape tended here by Beverly Schupp and the Flegels; the vegetables from Whiterock Nursery, the Livengood family and others; the fruit left after summer school by the school district; the cabbage, onions and beans from the fire department; the crab from Jennifer and Carl Johnson; and the beautiful vacuum-packed salmon from Sabine Olsson and J.R. Churchill, as well as the huge kings, sockeye and now silver salmon from Bill Thomas and family. We are blessed to live in such a bountiful place with such generous people.
