On Monday, April 28, Haines People for Peace, with support from the Community Matters program at the library, hosted Nobel Peace Prize nominee John Dear for a program on making peace within ourselves, our community, and globally. More than 70 people attended Dear’s presentation, the potluck and the open discussion. Thank you to everyone who helped organize our event and attended. We hope that participants left with ideas about living more peaceful lives.
