Artist Cara Murray this week finished her 60-by-8 foot mural at the Haines School's Main Street entrance. The piece shows sunspots radiating on the Chilkat River. Murray painted under tarps during rainstorms on most of the project. The mural will need a UVB coat every two years to prevent fading. Lynn Canal Corporation donated $5,000 to fund the artwork.
