Andy Shaw, left, who moved to town last spring, is restoring the landmark Gil Smith home at 8 Mile. Shaw is gutting the house, with the exception its stone siding and foundation, and rebuilding it from the inside out. He said it will be the most difficult of about two-dozen restoration projects he's led in his life. He expects to be done before winter. See story in this week's online edition of the CVN.
