Choose caring instead of conflict
June 15, 2017
Spending weeks with a dying son gives one much time for contemplation. Coming home to this most beautiful place is a welcome relief. Except that beauty is once again dampened by discontent, disappointment, misjudging and anger.
In all matters – but especially in the hard decisions – our elected leaders make, could we not choose to trust in integrity instead of conniving? I ask this of myself as well. Not always understanding the whys and wherefores, I tend to misjudge and be critical. Plain facts in black and white do not always tell the true stories between the lines.
I wish us to choose to be caring and supportive rather than contentious. If you feel strongly you can affect a change then run for office, get on a committee. We have within all of us the opportunity to make our town match its beauty. Let’s make the choice to prove this is possible.
