Chilkat Valley News - Serving Haines and Klukwan, Alaska since 1966

On behalf of the Haines Senior Center, I want to give a huge thank you to all the people who help support the center. Recently, Dr. Stan Jones donated some wonderful fresh fish and we received 12 big fresh salmon from Bill Thomas. We also benefit from and appreciate the fresh fruits and veggies from locals around town.

As a nonprofit, the generosity from our community helps supplement our budget. We are thankful to receive grants locally from the Chilkoot Indian Association, Haines Borough and the Chilkat Valley Community Foundation.

The mission of Southeast Senior Services, a division of Catholic Community Service, is to promote the health, independence and quality of life of seniors in Southeast Alaska through delivery of quality services and development of community resources.
