A caller reported a bag of trash in the roadway on FAA Road.

Police assisted the Alaska Office of Children’s Services.

A caller reported illegal dumping in a private dumpster on Main Street.

A business owner near 1 Mile Haines Highway requested a message be relayed to the owner of a vehicle parked in a private parking lot.

A caller reported a bear was struck by a vehicle at 24 Mile Haines Highway. State troopers were advised.

A caller reported hearing yelling on Young Road. Police responded and made contact with the source.

A tourist reported a lost purse.

A citizen advised police they would be travelling to Juneau via canoe.

A caller reported a vehicle parked in the roadway on View Street.

Wednesday, July 18

Police received a report of a lost credit card.

A caller requested extra patrols of private property with trespassers on First Avenue.

Thursday, July 19

A caller reported a lost wallet at the airport.

Police responded to a report of a bear on Front Street.

Police received a report of loud campers on First Avenue. All parties agreed to keep the peace.

Friday, July 20

A water/sewer alarm was activated on Piedad Road.

A caller reported a bear on FAA Road. Police alerted citizens with a Nixle message.

A caller reported two men on Main Street who appeared to be intoxicated.

An investigation began into a report of theft ($900) and property damage on Lutak Road.

Police responded to a report of a bear on Mud Bay Road.

A caller reported a vehicle bring operated by a potentially intoxicated driver at 9 Mile Haines Highway.

A resident of Haven Court reported a bear in the area, and said attractants were left at pull-outs.

Police assisted HARK in locating dog owners.

Police provided an escort for a funeral procession at the request of a citizen.

Police responded to a report of a bear on Third Avenue.

Sunday, July 22

A caller reported a young bear was on Skyline Drive.

Police responded to a concern of an overfilled garbage bin on Lutak Road becoming a bear attractant.

Police responded to a report of an eagle in distress on Third Avenue.

A caller reported a baseball field had been vandalized on Mosquito Lake Road.

A caller reported a violation of a court-ordered visitation schedule.

A citizen reported a lost wallet on Theatre Road.

Monday, July 23

A caller reported a fallen tree blocking the road at 21 Mile Haines Highway.

A water/sewer alarm was activated on Piedad Road.

A caller reported a neighbor blocking a shared easement on privately owned land on Porcupine Road.

A citizen reported children climbing on Port Chilkoot Dock.

A caller reported a vehicle parked for an extended period of time on Third Avenue.

Police received subpoenas from the District Attorney to serve on Haines residents.

Haines Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire on Fair Drive.

A Canadian resident reported a lost credit card on Third Avenue.

A Main Street business requested extra patrols of the area.
