Harriet Brouillette holds up a new pair of shoes for one of many Haines School students. Chilkoot Indian Association bought the custom ordered shoes from leftover SEARHC grant funding. Staff let kids pick out their favorite pairs of shoes from an online shopping site. The tribe purchased shoes for tribal members and for children in families who might struggle to afford shoes for sporting activities.
