A 44 year old male was arrested on an outstanding $5,000 felony assault warrant and lodged at Haines Rural Jail Facility.

A Second Avenue business requested assistance in silencing an alarm.

Haines Police met with a bicyclist.

Wednesday, January 30

The Haines Ministerial Association was contacted on behalf of a citizen.

Thursday, January 31

Investigation continues into a report of a theft valued at $30,000.

A citizen reported a suspicious person.

A Small Tracts Road caller inquired about ownership of animals.

Haines Police met with a citizen.

A Matrix Drive caller reported an issue as a tenant.

A FAA Road caller reported being threatened by someone.

Haines Volunteer Fire Dept. responded to assist a citizen on Fort Seward Drive.

Friday, February 1

A Klukwan caller reported someone was receiving threats.

Juneau Probation reported someone in the Haines area with an outstanding warrant.

A caller reported a vehicle parked in the yellow zone at the corner of Third Avenue and Main Street.

Haines Police secured a door to a vehicle on Main Street.

Saturday, February 2

A false fire alarm was activated.

Haines Police responded to a report of an assault which was determined to be a civil issue.

A 31 year old male was arrested on a $500 warrant charging failure to stop.

An officer contacted the owner of a vehicle with their “brights on” on Main Street.

A caller reported a vehicle was tailgating them at 5 Mile Haines Highway.

Sunday, February 3

A caller reported a broken fire hydrant at 0.25 Mile Haines Highway. Haines Borough Water/Sewer Dept. was advised.

A 23 year old male was arrested on an outstanding $500 warrant.

Monday, February 4

HVFD responded to a report of noxious smoke on Spruce Grove Road.

A Small Tracts Road citizen reported a theft of personal items valued at $1,850.

Haines Police made contact with a subject on FAA Road.

A missing stop sign on Mission Street was relayed to public works.

Investigation continues into a vehicle accident on Main Street. There were no injuries; there was damage to a building.

A Dalton Street business reported maintenance on a sprinkler system.

There were two 911 hang-ups, one canine and three EMS calls, and three vehicle stops.
