I didn’t quite propose a sales tax increase. I proposed an areawide 5.5% sales tax. Most people buy everything in town anyway, but it would generate a little bit more revenue. But being an out-of-town business, it would make collecting and filling out the sales tax form much easier.

On another note, the assembly has lost its mind to want to put the town through the ordeal of hiring a new manager in this time of crisis.
