Sean Bailey, left, and Darwin Feakes on Tuesday mount a new fire danger sign in front of the borough firehall on Old Haines Highway. Three new signs will go up around town indicating fire danger levels. They will be at the Haines border station, in front of the fire hall along Old Haines Highway, and at Lutak Road near the ferry terminal. They were made possible by the state Division of Forestry, which provided signage, and four "Smokey the Bear" figurines created by Anissa Berry and Tracy Wirak.
