I sincerely thank Mr. Roger Schnabel for taking action, and providing us safe access.  We moved more than 30 vehicles out. Thank you to the assembly for hearing our cry and granting us the freedom to act on our own behalf.  Thank you to the community members who loaned vehicles to evacuees. Thank you to the volunteers who helped us save things that to some may just be material goods, but to us are our lives’ treasures. It is with mixed emotion that we celebrate what we achieved, because in the end, we could not bring back the two most important things lost by the slide.  We feel closer to whole, but there will always be a hole.
