Takshanuk Watershed Council thanks Alaska Department of Fish and Game wildlife biologist Carl Koch and Wildlife Education Specialist Abby McAllister for flying in from Juneau to co-host the bear safety event at Takshanuk Watershed Council this weekend. Participants learned more about bear safety and practiced firing inert bear spray at a target. There was also an electric fence demonstration. Thanks to Shannon Donahue of the Great Bear Foundation for organizing a bear education table.
