As the election campaign season begins to raise its insidious head yet again, we are once again faced with the usual suspects promising to get it right this time. I won’t speak out here for or against any particular candidate or incumbent, but I will remind all of my friends out there that the legacy politicians are completely responsible for all of the trouble we are in today: Inflation, empty shelves, lack of transparency, open borders, incivility, services interruptions, heavy-handed mandates, tax burdens, abuse of power, etc. etc. etc...The only hope we have is in the primary process. If you want someone who actually represents you and not the lobbyists and special interest money men then wise up early on. As the great Frank Zappa said, “Politicians in Washington are looking out for number one and that ain’t you, in fact you’re not even number two.”
