About 1700 beer lovers imbibed at the Fairgrounds on Saturday, sampling libations made by more than 25 brewers from around Alaska, the Yukon and Washington state. Southeast Alaska State Fair sold 1300 general admissions tickets and 400 connoisseurs tickets for the event. The Fair this week was presented with the "Best Beer Festival" award from the Brewers Guild of Alaska.
