Privileged, federal leadership
August 11, 2022
Yes, there is a privileged class in America. It is not predicated on gender and/or race. It is predicated on money (the more of it the better) and a connection to the Washington DC power grid. There are several recent glaring examples of this privilege in action. If you are unaware of them perhaps you should widen your news sources.
Public service seems to be a very financially lucrative profession. Just Google the net worth of federal elected officials and bureaucrats, especially those who have been in Washington D.C. for 20-plus years. If one has a net worth of 25+ million, they don’t care about $60,000 cars, $20/gallon gasoline, or 9% inflation!
Most people know that Elaine Chow is also Mrs. Mitch McConnell, but how many other family relationships don’t we know about? In a nation with a population of 329.5 million why do we keep electing the same people or their family members? I suggest three terms and they are out. Term limits are not needed for this--just stop voting for the same people and expecting different results.
