In my recent paid commentary concerning our goat herd I had called on the “powers that be to do the right thing”. Well, two of the powers that be had already done what was in their power to do. I guess I need to get out more and go to some of the meetings! I commend the ADFG and the Local Fish and Game Advisory Committee for their advocacy of the goats. The biologist in Juneau with the ADFG said they do all they can legally: limiting hunting to protect the herd. You can reference last week’s letter to the editor by Derek Poinsette on what the Local Fish and Game Advisory committee is doing. I guess the last power that be is the borough, what say you?
