In the sense of pulling folks together for our S.E. Alaskan Fair, having a "Drag Queen" show is not one of them. Sure it may get lots of laughs, jeering and maybe a few "cat calls" from the Beer Fest folks, but then it may generate just the opposite.

Is this really needed within a family-oriented annual fair? Socially accepted is not morally right.

People are drawn to Alaska by the unique rugged and beautiful qualities of our land and culture, we are not guided by nor impressed by "outside" unnatural ideologies. We are not ignorant nor lacking in knowledge of happenings in the lower states, we merely don't want them! Our wish is that those ideas stay where they are developed..."outside."
