Thank you to the SE AK Fair Community Outreach Coordinator, Amanda Randles, Board President Spencer Douthit and all who help pull together this community event. By Fair time this summer I will be even older than I am already. Any venues at the Fair that start past 7 PM are not venues I am likely to attend. However, I would appreciate the opportunity to see our friends and neighbors the Juneau Draggers perform in the Fair venue.

I encourage you to stick to your original plan. 7 PM is a reasonable hour for this performance that many elders, families, and young people in our community would enjoy. I see this as an opportunity to increase community awareness, acceptance, tolerance, understanding, enjoyment and appreciation of people and communities beyond our own usual experiences.

Those with narrow-minded world views or who are not interested in this performance don’t have to attend. Few people choose to or are able to attend all venues at the Fair anyway. Would not like to see SEAK Fair cave to holier-than-thou (actually bullying) tactics and attitudes.Regards.
