Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) had a successful recruitment event over the weekend in Haines! BBBS is a mentoring organization that creates professionally supported 1-to-1 relationships between volunteers (Bigs) and youths (Littles). It was really fun to talk to potential volunteers, caregivers, and youth interested in enrolling in the program and visiting with many of our current matches!

At BBBS, we believe that every child benefits from an additional supportive adult in their life. Some families are fortunate enough to organically have that person, maybe an aunty, neighbor or a grandparent. Other families appreciate the nonprofits' role in facilitating that relationship for their child.

Thank you to Miki and her staff at Chilkat Restaurant and Bakery for hosting the BBBS event. Much gratitude to Big Sister Genny Rietze for her door prize donation from Haines Packing Co.
